Description

Fine peak towering over Pfelderer Tal in South Tyrol, with the characteristic and decorative Planferner glacier straddling the main Oetztal ridge north of the summit - the only glacier visible on the Italian side. The north-west, Austrian side of the ridge is heavily glaciated however. Short trekking route to the summit from the Italian Zwickauer hut; some easy scrambling and somewhat exposed at a few spots.
