Lassen Peak

My first volcano. Spectacular views. Be on the lookout for Mack Fatty the Pika - the fattest rodent around. Also keep an eye for the Ranger Nymph- actually she might have just been on a trail crew- but she sure was cute. Could see Shasta among the other sick scenery. I have spectacular photos; If you're interested I'll e-mail them upon request. With all the switch-backs there's nothing steep or difficult about this hike.
