Lassen Peak

Thought I had better sign the log book. Only 11 months late.

Summited Lassen Peak after 2 hour easy hike with two of my children during a 3 week road tour.

Fresh skiff of snow down to around 9000ft, fresh breeze early on but hot by mid morning. Summit rocks icey but no problems. Took some photos of the crater chipmunk, don't know what he eats up there, but I guess he migrates to lower altitudes, or New Mexico around November!!

A beautiful national park.
