Mount Elbrus

Summitted with my fellow Irish collegues. Climbed with Pilgrim Tours, our main guide, Yuri was excellent, his 30th time on the summit and the worst weather he had ever summitted on. It was very cold, windy and snowed the whole time almost on summit day, visibility was down to approx. 20 feet. The previous day had been glorious, clear views and sunshine from the top - do not under estimate the weather, it can be a major factor. A great experience, with a great team. We were were the only team to summit that day due to the bad weather and safety was down to our great guides. What a party afterwards, beware of Russian vodka.
