Vinson Massif

A great hike with my two sons, Brian and Robert, and their girlfriends, Aletha and Tatyana, on a sunny August afternoon. Peeling off clothing as we climbed with dogs Bobo & Cloe, the big strong Dobermans, we saw drop in temp from 70 to 37 on top with wind chill even lower. Seemed more windy and unpredictable than Katahdin, which we summited eactly one year earlier. A mountain to respect, most certainly, but a great life highlight as well. This August 28, the Mahoosic Notch and Speck Mountain!!! God is Great--It's heaven up there!! wummR
