Fuji-san

First summited with my Navy buddies, then summited the second time in August 1968 with my sister-in-law (who also summited twice). She's probably one of the few gaijins who have gone ALL THE WAY from Station 1 on one side and ALL THE WAY back down to the bottom on the other side - this on her very first climb. No wimpy riding up the flank of the mountain to the 5th(?) station for her.

The run down the mountain through the scree was a hoot! Bring something to seal up your shoes on the run down (like duct tape) so they don't fill up with rocks.
