Description
Harney Peak is South Dakota's high point. It is also often claimed to be the highest point in North America east of the Rockies, although this claim is often debated since there are higher peaks in south Texas (southeast of the Rockies) and northern Canada (northeast of the Rockies).
Harney Peak provides a beautiful panorama of the surrounding Black Hills, a region with a unique natural history.
