Breithorn

We decided to climb this peak in a spare day after gran Paradiso.We started from Plateau Rosa (3450 m), from Cervinia, Italy, because it is at least 700 m . This height is the only effort of a peak which has not any problem ( except, of course, bad weather or ice) We saw many guided groups, some of them tied to worn out ropes, taken obviously for folkloric purposes. The panorama is impressive. However. I think that, if you are alpinist, this is not worth it. If you are not, then, do not make yourself you are one, by renting a guide.
