Blemlisalphorn

I climbed the north face in 1996 and it was my first real north face. When the conditions are good its a nice trip but the description in het guidebooks are not up to date. Because of the seracs near the summit this route is different every year. There are many routes different in steepnes from 50% up to 80%. The routes can be graded D-TD. Be carefull of the seracs. The normal route is not that hard but can be dangereous becouse of the loose rocks. There are prepared belays for abseiling. Its the savest to use them. The normal rotes is in my opinion grade PD with steep snow/ice up to 45% and rock up to UIAA 2. For more info contact me by email
