Description
Har Meron (Mount Meron) is in the north of Israel. The nearest town is Zefat (Safed), where from it can also be seen. The mountain belongs partially to Golan Heights range.
Undergrowth is merely bushes, which live close to each other, leaving little space for walking. The best and easiest way to walk on the mountain is to follow the 10 km path which starts from the village of Meron. The path starts near a tomb, only 10 minutes walk from Meron. There is an arrowhead like an entrance. Be careful not to go on cattle paths, those lead only under bigger trees !
The path will go zig zag after an old road. Just keep an eye on white and black painted stones. On the top of the mountain is a radio station, which can be walked almost around.
Two countries can be seen: Israel and Lebanon.
