Description
Beautiful and easy 2½ hour climb of a 4000 meters mountain of the Venezuelan Andes, the highest of Trujillo state. The first reported climb was made by de venezuelan engineer Alfredo Jahn on november 23, 1910.
From the town of Niquitao take a paved road to Las Mesitas, then a steep dirt road that starts at El Bisum (4x4 needed)up to the base of the mountain (aprox. 3600 m.). There are 4x4 vehicles that can be hired at Niquitao. Ask for information if you are planning by your own. With clean skies, the views from the summit are overwhelming.
