Description

Tristkopf is a peak in the mountain group Hagengebirge ( undergroup of Berchtesgaden Alps.) Hagengebirge is a square limestone carstic highland, it breaks down to all sides with steep or vertical walls with a height of approximately 5000 ft. The carstic highland is one of the most remote regions of Eastern Alps, large parts are inaccessible, they look like a huge grater.

Tristkopf is an exeption because it is on the border of the Highland.

Map : German Alpine Club, 1:25 000, Hochkönig, Hagengebirge, available in every book-shop.
