Description
Baldy Mountain is the highest peak in the Bear Paw Mountains which are not a true mountain range in the sense of the word, but rather an island of Tertiary volcano remnant ridges in north-central Montana. Baldy is the northeast culmination of Pecora Ridge. Baldy is located in southern Hill County and is the county highpoint. The mountain is at the headwaters for Beaver Creek. Access is via the Beaver Creek Road by driving south from the town of Havre.
