1st June 2005.
I used my lonely palnet walking in australia, guide book. It was raining, with some mist, clouds, and MANY leeches.
It is recommended to do the climb in 2 days.
As I was trained, it took me 3h45 to go up and 2h30 to go down, pauses and some photos taking included.
Have sturdy shoes, at it is slippery, the leeches are there. I fell once close to the top, slipped in the mud and fell 2 meters below. The pain stopped me for 10 minutes. I took a lunch in my pockets and musli bars. Also 1 liter of water. Nothing more.
10h00: start at parking
11h00: reached junction to Broken Nose sidetrip (not done)
13h25:Top eastern Camp
14h10:reached summit
14h30:Top eastern Camp
16h00:junction
16h45:end at parking.
These times may vary if you get a bit lost(but I would say marking is ok, not much route finding).
I of course suggest anyone to do it in group, start earlier if you want to do it in 1 day.
