Machhapuchhare

Description

Machhapuchhare is a sacred mountain, and though people have climbed it, expeditions are very rare, and they are not allowed to summit. One expedition, I heard stopped short of several meters of the top to respect the ghurkas wishes. It was instrumental to obtaining the permit in the first place. (text by Dean Lofquist)
