Scafell Pike

After much talking and no action we finally arranged accommodation in the Lake District to complete our objective of climbing Scafell Pike. Myself, Rebecca Griffin, Vicky Thornton, Rebecca's daughter Brogan Griffin and her friend Caroline Beacon stayed at Borrowdale Youth Hostel in the Lake District and climbed Scafell on 18th August 2001. Myself and Rebecca managed to climb to the top, Scafell Pike and the others managed to climb Scafell - which was an accomplishment in itself for inexperienced walkers! It was a beautiful walk, a fantastic day with ideal conditions - not too hot, not too cold and the scenery was spectacular and more than made up for any aches and pains. I thoroughly recommend this walk to anyone!
