Google Earth Map Downloader
To view Peakware peaks and information in 3D using Google Earth, go to any map on the Peakware site. Beneath each map is a link that will allow you to automatically generate a Google Earth (kml) file that includes the specified content. This is a good option for people who are only interested in exploring the mountains from a few select ranges or regions.
Alternatively, you can download the entire Peakware data set. This is a small file that gets its data from our server in real time. It takes longer to load within Google Earth, but it allows you to view all 3776 Peakware peaks from around the world, and it's automatically updated as new peaks become available or as existing peaks are corrected.
Note: These features require Google Earth 5.0 or higher. Download the latest version (it's free). For more information about how to use Google Earth, see the Google Earth Product Tour.
